Bike trails benefit everyone.
Bike activities provide community access to progress and stay active. We have 15+ years building bike trails. We pride ourselves with our work and are actively apart of the riding community we help build for. Dedicated to Dirt.
Trail / Track Builds Opportunities
Municipalities & Parks Departments
Investing into Bike related activities has proven to be a financial benefit for communities across the US. The low carbon output and health benefits of riding bicycles make it the perfect activity for community investment. Development of these tracks have shown to help reduce obesity and increase general health levels in areas that have adopted them.
Unlike other sports, it has an easy entry point meaning that anyone can get started and anyone can improve. In particular, pump tracks offer coaches an opportunity to help young riders to develop skills while at the same time providing experienced and even professional riders an opportunity to build on their skills.
Ski Resort MTB Trail Conversion for Summer Operation
Many ski areas are converted into downhill mountain biking venues in the summer, such as Whistler Mountain Bike Park. This allows for Resorts to operate year round alongside the specifically developed all-season downhill trails. The existing infrastructure allows bikers to ride gondolas, trams or chair lifts to the starting point, or "shuttling" with motorized vehicles is used to transport riders to the top of the hill. This conversion can have huge positive economic effects on a community looking to grow its outdoor recreation and tourism.
Homeowner Associations
Looking at playground? Maybe your HOA should consider a pump track? Bicycling can truly bring a community together. Pump track parks are relatively simple and cheap to construct. The maintenance and upkeep is inexpensive and not labor intensive. They are popular features to park and recreation areas due to their ability to cater to a wide variety of rider skill level and age.

Downhill MTB Trails
Usually built in places with elevation. These trails often features jumps, drops, rock gardens and other obstacles. Full Suspension bikes allow for riders to glide quickly over rocks and tree roots. Land usage access allows for some trails to add machine groomed berms & jumps creating a new dynamic in the sport of MTB.
Pump Tracks
A “pump track” is a roller coaster for your bike. It is a continuous loop of compacted dirt combined with raised banks called “berms” and rapid successions of smooth dirt mounds called “rollers.” This allows the rider to sustain momentum through the rider’s upper and lower body “pumping” movements instead of pedaling. The course design allows for riders to create endless loops maintaining speed throughout.
Dirt Jumps / SlopeStyle
Dirt Jumping is the practice of riding bikes over shaped mounds of dirt or soil and becoming airborne. Dirt jumping can be done on almost any bicycle, but the bikes chosen are generally smaller and more maneuverable hardtails so that tricks such as backflips, whips, and tabletops, are easier to complete.

Testimonials
“There are a few important aspects to building and designing a good trail or pump track that the Shire Built crew has displayed over the years.
Their big picture view allows them the ability to accommodate all riding levels. Utilizing feedback to adapt throughout the building process. They are proficient machine operators with high level riding capability that allow them to “fail fast” and make corrections quickly.
We have full confidence in the Shire crews trail building skills and level of execution. ”
— Eric Brown Executive Director, WMBC
“Our project was unique and very specific as we were designing within the boundaries of 4 walls, Shire Built’s ability to follow my plan closely and keep to the design was critical.
Spencer is by far the best operator I have ever worked with and is a talented builder. It helps to have very talented riders, so they knows what works well for a bike, in addition to having an open-minded vision, so they design and create for all levels of riders.
